Jeff Mauritzen

Jeff is a Northern Virginia based commercial and editorial photographer with 20 years of professional photography experience. A visual problem solver and storyteller, Jeff enjoys challenging assignments, meeting new people, and working on projects of all shapes and sizes.Some of Jeff's clients include the Wall Street Journal, Washingtonian Magazine, Smithsonian, Virginia Tourism, Destination DC, Discovery, National Arbor Day Foundation, Visit Fairfax, Highlights for Children Magazine, Ranger Rick Magazine, Scholastic Magazine, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Lonely Planet books, Amazon Web Services, COX Communications, NASA and many more..Jeff is also a National Geographic Photography Expert for over 13 years, where his assignments and adventures have immersed him in remote and dramatic landscapes on all 7 continents. Whether photographing penguin antics in Antarctica or Komodo dragons in Indonesia, Jeff’s work expresses an unwavering passion, respect, curiosity, and awe for the natural world.
