Jeff Mauritzen

Jeff is a commercial and editorial photographer with 20 years of professional photography experience. A visual problem solver and storyteller, Jeff enjoys challenging assignments, meeting new people, and working on projects of all shapes and sizes.Some of Jeff's clients include the Wall Street Journal, Washingtonian Magazine, Smithsonian, Virginia Tourism, Destination DC, Discovery, National Arbor Day Foundation, Visit Fairfax, Highlights for Children Magazine, Ranger Rick Magazine, Scholastic Magazine, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Lonely Planet books, Amazon Web Services, NASA and many more.Jeff is also a National Geographic Photography Expert for over 14 years, where his assignments and adventures have immersed him in remote and dramatic landscapes on all 7 continents. Whether photographing penguin antics in Antarctica or Komodo dragons in Indonesia, Jeff’s work expresses an unwavering passion, respect, curiosity, and awe for the natural world. His photography has appeared in National Geographic books, magazines, calendars, online articles, and on the @natgeotravel Instagram account, where he is a regular contributor. Makeup Artist

Finn Mauritzen

Finn is a certified makeup artist serving Northern Virginia and the Washington D.C. metro area. She provides every client with two things: talent rooted in years of industry experience and a passion for the transformative power of natural makeup. Whether preparing a new bride for her wedding day, a corporate CEO for his next headshot or talent for a commercial shoot, Finn offers on-site makeup services that leave clients feeling confident in their looks! Finn’s extensive work in health and beauty has taken her around the globe. During her time with Royal Caribbean International, she provided five-star services for Steiner Leisure Limited’s maritime spas. In Ireland, she managed a five-star spa at the exclusive Killarney Park Hotel. And in America, she managed two beauty stores for Origins and L’Occitane, and served as operations manager for a Reveal Medspa. Taking a step away from the beauty industry for a few years, she worked as an Associate Producer. Gaining experience onset, working with a production team along with learning makeup techniques for 4K cameras. In 2016 she started Blush Away Makeup, LLC. With many years of experience in the beauty industry, plus her experience in the video production field, Finn can provide makeup services that work for every skin type and has the knowledge to know what makeup is best for video and still photography.
